How to Deal with the Climate Crisis

Online discussions with Parag Khanna, María Fernanda Espinosa, Bayo Akomolafe and Kumi Naidoo

15 November 2021  In cooperation with the Ecologic Institute and Climate Alliance, ifa is proud to present the web talk series 'Totally Glocally. Europe from the outside: dealing with the climate crisis'.

How is Europe perceived by countries beyond its borders, and where do associated hopes and disappointments lie? What answers does international law provide concerning the threat of climate change to individuals globally and to communities beyond Europe in particular? How should relational, non-Western models of knowledge production and exchange be considered? And how can the role of international civil society be discussed in this context?
ifa's (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) event series Totally Glocally focusses this time on tackling some of the world's challenges resulting from global warming and its consequences for humanity. Integrating non-European perspectives, particularly those from the Global South, experts will discuss climate ethics, justice and global migration.

The web talks will take place on 17 November, 24 November and 1 December 2021 from 14.00 to 15.30 CET.
