Friends' Association

Creating peace through dialogue between cultures – that is ifa's task and goal. As part of the German Foreign Cultural and Educational Policy, ifa operates as a cultural mediator and competence centre. In order to be able to successfully fulfill its social mission in the future, ifa requires friends and sponsors who contribute to this preservation through their private and entrepreneurial activities. The Friends' Association was founded on 8 November 2006 in order to support ifa in the implementation of his numerous projects.

By becoming a member of the Friends' Association, ifa's commitment to global cultural exchange can be supported and secured.

Call for Donations for Cultural Practitioners from Ukraine

Since the 1990s, ifa has forged long-standing and very close ties to people engaged in civil society in Eastern Europe, fom the arts and culture, the media. These networks have existed for decades and share the values of ifa: freedom of speech, artistic freedom, respect for human rights and participation. And we will continute to suppport them.

Financial aid is needed to offer artists from Ukraine a perspective and allow them to continute their work as well as to support cultural exchange projects:
