Inspired by the special moods that light conjures up in space and over its people, Tiaroley first began to capture lifescapes of his home region of Androy in southern Madagascar with his photographic eye. In this sensitivity for space, he met the German performance artist R.D.G. (Butô) and together they created a dialogue with people in their everyday space to transcend, dance and photograph the possible encounter across all borders through their art.

At the heart of their work is this encounter, which transports the viewer into unknown spaces and times, allowing them to experience a vibration that makes the possibility of a great shared house of life on earth appear. In this way, the performance remains vivid in the memory of the space and its people. With a simple Canon camera, the artist manages to capture the performance artist's unusual approach to the Malagasy habitat and its people, which is reflected in the mystical atmosphere of the photographs.

The artist couple deliberately adopt a role that enables the shift from the initial mistrust of Tiaroley's fellow Malagasy to admiration, curiosity and openness towards the strange(rs). This shift is the heart of their projects. The joint exhibition "Correspondences : calligraphy danced - danced calligraphy, a Malagasy-German collaboration" introduces the universe of the artist tandem: Tiaroley's photographs and R.D.G.'s calligraphies in correspondence with them, primed with Malagasy pigments, ("prolongation of the writing of a body in space with the brush dancing on the canvas") as well as book objects / installations reflecting danced and experienced spaces of Madagascar (2013-2021) and photographs of Africa (Littoral project 2005-2012 in 13 countries).
