Online Event: Panel Discussion & Workshop

The Martin Roth-Initiative is hosting an online event on Thursday, 9 September 2021 on the topic of 'Artistic Freedom & Mobility: Learnings from the Pandemic'. The event will start with a panel debate on artistic freedom and international exchange beyond Covid-19 (14:00 - 15:30 CEST). The second part of the event (16:00 - 17:30 CEST) will be a workshop which aims to discuss the interim findings of MRI's ongoing research project on artistic freedom and mobility with a focus on Turkey and the Middle East.

The event aims to strengthen support programmes for artists and cultural actors from restrictive political contexts and to promote exchange on how artists, cultural organisations and temporary relocation programmes deal(t) with global restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
