'La Biennale Arte di Venezia' is the world's most internationally renowned and oldest art biennale. Since 1971, the artistic contribution in the German Pavilion has been coordinated by ifa - since 2009 also in the role of commissioner. In several editions the storytelling format 'biennale stories' focuses on the exciting and controversial history of the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

Die Kulturmittler - ifa's Podcast on Foreign Cultural Policy

Conversations with actors and stakeholders on current topics around the third pillar of foreign policy. A podcast by ifa - Germany's oldest intermediary organisation.

Contemporary And (C&)

Contemporary And (C&) is a dynamic platform for reflecting on and connecting ideas and discourses on contemporary visual arts. With their ever-growing network of authors, C& magazine and C& América Latina magazine feature important, multilayered work by cultural practitioners, with a focus on the links between them. This work is looked at from a variety of perspectives and in diverse contexts without one specific  narrative or a single emphasis. C& has offices in Berlin and Nairobi and is accessed by people in some 120 different countries. It successfully packages complex issues in an approachable format and has established itself as an important platform for dialogue on the subject of contemporary art from Africa and the Global Diaspora. C&  magazine and C& América Latina magazine are co-published by ifa.

Artwork of the Month

In the Touring Exhibitions ifa presents contemporary art from Germany worldwide. After years of travelling through international museums, the exhibitions are transferred to the ifa's art collection. The series 'Artwork of the Month' is intended to expand access to ifa's invisible art collection and offers the public an insight into the international work of the Art Department.

Simulation game 'Giving Europe a Home'

The simulation game on European cultural policy offers insights into European law making processes. In the roles of President of the European Commission, of EU commissioners, foreign ministers, members of the European Council or media representatives participants negotiate the creation of a joint 'House of European Cultures'. They can experience and reflect how cultural policy becomes concrete and what potential lies in the cultural diversity of the Union.
