IKT Congress

The International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art (IKT) invites curators from all over the world once a year on a journey that aims to get to know cultural scenes beyond the well-trodden cultural paths and to exchange experiences and ideas between curators.

In the first part, a number of national hosts, selected through an open call for proposals, are invited to create local programmes that focus on an aspect of interconnectivity that is important to the participants. The form of these decentralised, intimate ICT meetings is entirely up to the hosts. They can include an open lecture, a discussion on an exhibition or cultural activities/policy, performances, a manifestation in public space or other types of creative/discursive events. It is mandatory that the organisers provide a summary video of the results.

The second part of the IKT Congress 2021 is a kind of streaming festival: a diverse 24-hour programme that will have a precise schedule and will stream the above-mentioned local contributions from around the world as well as life acts by selected artists.
