Together, a group of artists of different artistic disciplines such as the Visual Arts, Music and Performance develop interventions in the public space of Douala. Interventions in the rhythm of urban life – with its syncops, its blockades, its flux and reflux in a globalised world and its economic and social realities.
At self-chosen locations in Douala the artists set their ‘City Songs’ in scene and intervene in everyday life with their spontaneous actions. They commentate and tell stories of change, of dreams, of memories, reality and the imaginary of a city.
From the live footage, photographs and objects that were made during the process a video installation is created with a video-playlist of their songs.
