Target Europe

Nationalism, populism, protectionism: anti-European and populist parties are on the rise in many countries. They fuel xenophobia, they propagate a nationalist policy of identity, with the European Union as their pet bogeyman. The ifa’s Special Review ''Target Europe'' addresses the revival of nationalist thinking in Europe, its impact on the arts, culture, the media and science as well as the latters' responsibility  to fight back against oversimplifying populist narratives.
