Workshop for African beeswax cloths

Within the exhibition "If we're­ happy in our dreams, does that count?"

ifa Gallery Stuttgart invites participants to create beeswax cloths with African textiles. Wax batik is very popular in Ghana, where many women make a living out of it. The art of batik making in Ghana is similar to African textile printing, with the difference that batik is only made by hand and not by machines.

All workshops are for ages 14 and up. Younger participants need to be accompanied by an adult.
