Festival The New Normal

Performance by the Ukrainian artist Alex Sirous

Alex Sirous presents "deconstruction of destruction", a multi-media-performance as part of the "New Normal" festival of the Kunstverein Wagenhallen in the Container-City on 3 September 2022.

For his performance, titled "deconstruction of destruction", the media artist, born in Kharkiv in 1996, creates a vortex of visual impressions based on simple graphic elements combined with abstract sound material. Alex Sirous has worked with comics, animation and video games, which have influenced his media art design.

The event as part of the project "How much can a pigeon carry?" by Linienscharen is supported by ifa's Kulturhilfe-Ukraine and sponsored by the city of Stuttgart. As a platform for contemporary drawing in Stuttgart, Linienscharen has been keeping the discourse on drawing and the theme of the line alive since 2012 and aims to provide a framework for exchange through lectures, presentations and talks. Linienscharen functions as an open, non-commercial forum for regional artists and also facilitates supra-regional exchange and networking through invited guests and presentations.
