  • The influence of populism and nationalism on cultural relations and cultural diplomacy
  • The state of online hate and mitigation through networking
  • Discrimination as a threat to social cohesion and democracy
  • Persistent media literacies: civic empowerment and cultural participation in a time of rampant media cynicism

The WIKA Workshop 2020 welcomes researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and other stakeholders interested in critically discussing these interdisciplinary topics.

This year not only ifa celebrates the 10th anniversary of its Research Programme on Culture and Foreign Policy and the 20th anniversary of its Research Award on Foreign Cultural Policy, but also the WIKA workshop celebrates its 15th anniversary.

The WIKA Workshop 2020 is held in English and organised as a fully virtual event via the video conferencing tool 'Zoom'.

Please register by email to wika-workshop(at)zak.kit.edu until 30 November 2020.
