Spain’s Public Agency for Cultural Action (AC/E) is behind the Spain-Colombia Programme 2018-2019. The aims of the programme include strengthening the presence and visibility of Spain in Colombia. A focal point is on exchange, for example to help Spanish creators, cultural agents and residents to gain a foothold in the Colombia’s cultural circuits. Furthermore, the programme is designed to familiarise Colombian cultural players on activities going on in their sector in Spain.

The activities under the Spain-Colombia Programme 2018-2019 will be performed at the most representative Colombian cultural venues. Many are part of specific programmes produced in collaboration with Colombian institutions to ensure they reach the widest possible audiences.

Among the activities is AC/E’s invitation of several Spanish directors, jury members and Spanish film professionals to the 58th International Film Festival of Cartagena de Indias (FICCI), which starts on 28 February. In addition, AC/E has organized the exhibition "Let's go on Shooting. Colombian and Spanish Filmakers", which will be shown at FICCI. The exhibition features portraits of Spanish and Colombian filmmakers that photographer Óscar Fernández Orengo has made over the last 17 years.
