The France-Israel season is taking place simultaneously in both countries between June and November 2018. The kick off was yesterday during the unveiling ceremony at the Grand Palais of the Israel@Lights exhibition. Among the speakers was French President Emmanuel Macron.

The France-Israel season focuses on innovation, creation and youth as axes of forward-looking dialogue. The two countries are linked by a long-standing friendship and a common attachment to the development of arts and culture. The multidisciplinary season features 400 projects in about twenty cities in Israel and about fifty in France. The themes covered in the projects include science, economics, theatre, dance, education, cinema and literature.

Overall, the season aims to show the vitality of bilateral relations in the cultural and scientific fields, to mark a new stage in economic relations, and to renew the way the French look at Israel and the Israelis look at France.
