As 2020 draws to a close, Iris Lenz, Head of the Galleries, is leaving ifa. In her last days at work, she reviews 30 years in the job. She remembers the galleries in their infancy and tells us about their development. In a video, she takes us through 'Fibra. Contemporary Architecture with Plant Fibres', the current exhibition at the Gallery Stuttgart.
What makes the ifa Galleries special? And how do they differ from each other? Art functions in interaction with society, or the other way around: socially relevant topics are revisited and discussed in art. What issues are currently preoccupying the art scene? And what is important to Iris Lenz personally?
