Elke aus dem Moore, born in 1965, is head of Visual Arts Department at ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen/Institute for international cultural relations) since 2008.
Elke aus dem Moore studied literature and fine arts in Osnabrück, Zurich and Bochum. From 1999 to 2002 she was curator at Shedhalle in Zurich and from 2003 to 2006 she was Artistic Director of Künstlerhaus Stuttgart. Elke aus dem Moore is the publisher of numerous catalogues, two online magazines – Nafas and  Contemporary and (C&) – Platform for international art from African perspectives – and is the author of articles in professional journals. As guest lecturer she was invited to HGK Basel, ZHdK Zürich, HfG Karlsruhe, UdK Berlin and PH Ludwigsburg.
Since 2008 she is responsible for the international exhibition programs of ifa, for the ifa-galleries in Berlin and Stuttgart, and funding programs.
Elke aus dem Moore is member of numerous advisory boards and juries.
Her curatorial approach follows the principle of encounter, exchange and dialogue.
