
Ein Kunstwerk könne als eine Art des Weltenmachens gesehen werden, meint Daniel Birnbaum, Kurator der diesjährigen Biennale in Venedig, um den Titel "Making Worlds" der 53. Biennale Venedig zu erklären. Die internationale Kunstausstellung, die schon im Vorfeld auf reges Interesse in der Öffentlichkeit stößt, findet vom 7. Juni bis 22. November statt. So wird der Deutsche Pavillon, der auch dieses Jahr vom ifa betreut wird, zum ersten Mal nicht von einem deutschen, sondern von dem britischen Künstler Liam Gillick gestaltet.
