Flip-flops. A sole, a V-shaped strap. Done. And thus very cheap. Worn on the beach and by water, where they are then often left behind, washed away and then washed up again. Then collected. Glued together and cut into the shapes of lamps, baskets and small items of furniture.

Diederik  Schneemann graduated from AKI–Academy of Art and Design, Enschede, The Netherlands, in 2011. He is  now based in Rotterdam. He is driven by curiosity and  always looking forward, searching for the element that  makes something fascinating. Thriving to create a good design, defined by its sustainability, he also works for a comprehensible conceptual approach with a strong communicative value.
