Nguyen Thu Ha
Hanoi-based Nguyen Thu Ha, born in 1982, has been presenting her video art and performances since 2005, at first in Vietnam, later also at festivals and in group exhibitions in Italy and China. During her studies in painting at the University of Fine Arts in Hanoi, which she completed in 2007, she participated in the international academic exchange programme SIDA (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) at the Swedish University Umea in 2006, where she created the installations Yet Kieu and Heritage, which, being conceived as interactive projects, reflect upon the educational situation at the University of Fine Arts in Hanoi. In 2007, she organised an art workshop for children in Hanoi, and in 2008 she showed in her first major exhibition at the Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art the piece Where do you go next, an installation that presents the increasing tourism in Vietnam and South East Asia in its most diverse facets.
She was awarded "IASPIS" International Artists' Studio Program in Umea, Sweden in 2009.
