Linie Line Linea. Contemporary Drawing

Markus Vater uses lines to pose questions about the explicability of the world, its metaphysical sense in nonsense. His work is related to cartoons, combining images and text, drawing and symbol. In a poetic and humorous manner, Vater shows the possibility of a world adhering to different laws, which nevertheless somehow relates to our own familiar world. Here there are problems we recognize – concerning the existence of God and the absurdity of everyday life.
