Information about art

An artwork can be seen as a kind of ‘creation of worlds’ according to Daniel Birnbaum, the curator of this year’s Venice Biennale. “Making Worlds” is Birnbaum’s chosen title for the 53rd Venice international art show, which runs from June 7 till November 22. International attention is assured – not least with regard to the German pavilion, which is again this year being managed by ifa: for the first time, the curator of the German pavilion is not a German artist but a British artist, Liam Gillick. Read a selection here of press articles about this year’s Venice Biennale.
