Czech Centres

Purpose/Activities

Czech Centre Prague is a part of the network of Czech Centres which operate within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. It has been opened in spring 2006 and the main objective is to present cultural activities of the colleagues at the 22 Czech Centres worldwide. Czech Centres present the Czech Republic through culture, education, business and tourism.
One can find three Czech Centres in Germany: in Berlin, in Munich and in Duesseldorf. The one in Dresden was dissolved in 2010.

Czech Centre Prague also aims to foster cooperation with international culture institutions based in the Czech Republic. They have organized over 750 cultural events for more than 110,000 visitors since their opening. They participate in prestigious events such as Designblok, One World Human Rights Film Festival, and KomiksFEST!, among others.
