Ly Hoang Ly Ly Hoang Ly was born in Hanoi in 1975 and completed her studies of oil painting at the University of Fine Arts in Ho Chi Minh City in 1999. Being awarded several grants, she has been working as an artist in residence several times in the USA as well as in Korea.
Since 1994, her installations and performances have been presented in various exhibitions and at festivals in Vietnam, but also in other Asian countries like Korea, Japan and Thailand, as well as in the USA, Germany and France. Ly Hoang Ly is a member of the Ho Chi Minh Fine Arts Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Union, and she has additionally been writing, publishing and translating poems regularly since 1993.
