Ha Manh Thang Ha Manh Thang was born in the northern province Thai Nguyen in 1980. He completed his studies at the University of Fine Arts in Hanoi in 2004. Since 2001, his works, which are reminiscent of pop art, have been on display in solo and group exhibitions in galleries in Vietnam and Singapore. Some of his pieces are included in the Singapore Art Museum collection. His work reflects today’s social life in Vietnam. In light colours, he combines symbols and motifs from the Vietnamese tradition and from modernism, thus creating an image of the new Vietnam, which is increasingly opening itself to the West, at the same time desiring to preserve its traditional heritage.
