Reza Abedini Reza Abedini was born in 1967 in Tehran, Iran. He graduated in graphic design in 1986 at the School of Fine Arts in Tehran. During 1988 to 2001, he teached at Azad Art University. After that, he studied painting at Art University in 1991 and completed one’s degree as Bachelor of Arts. From 1992 to 1993 he worked as the head of the visual section of Soreeh art and culture magazine. In 1993 he founded Reza Abedini Studio. Since 1997 Reza Abedini is member of the Iranian Graphic Designers’ Society (IGDS) and of Alliance Graphic International (AGI). He teaches visual communication at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran.
Solo Exhibitions Reza Abedini’s posters, logos and sketches were shown in 2007 in Amsterdam (Platform 21). On being awarded by the Prince-Claus-Fund, the exhibition "Bridge – the visual culture of Reza Abedini" was presented. Other solo exhibitions in 2006 were "The third line" in Tabriz (Iran), "Book Look" in Paris (Art az Art Gallery) and "Sima" in Tehran (Iranian Artist’s House) as well as "Posters" which took place in Beirut (American University). He was invited to present his works in 2004 during the exhibition "Siah Mashgh" and "Graphic Design" (Qatar). In 2002 Abedini displayed his works in "Return" at the Contemporary Art Museum in Isfahan – after he was considered as a young talented artist through the exhibitions "In the opposite direction" (Iranian Artist’s House, Tehran) and "In the beginning", which run in Shiraz (Hafez Gallery).
Group exhibitions Most important group exhibitions of Reza Abedini were 2004 the "1st China International Poster Biennial" and "Draw" (Lalah Art Gallery, Tehran). In 2003 he participated at the "International Art and Graphic Festival" in Chaumont and "Colorado International Invitational Exhibition" as well as "Musulmanes" at Musée de LaVitte in Paris. His work was shown at the "International Poster Exhibition" in Germany and during the "20th Graphic Design Biennial" in Bruno.
