Yee I-Lann

Born 1971 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, Yee I-Lann now lives and works as a professional artist and set designer in Kuala Lumpur. She graduated in 1992 from the University of South Australia in Adelaide with a BA in Visual Arts. She also has experience in painting and is trained in art direction. In some of her works she explores the nature of identity and exclusion in Malaysian society, using subtle and yet humorously altered photographic images. Yee I-Lann has presented numerous exhibitions in Malaysia, Singapore and Europe.
