Exhibitions Abroad
The Visual Arts Department devises and organizes exhibitions of German contemporary art which are shown in foreign museums and galleries. The range of exhibitions, undertaken with distinguished curators, is focusing the 20th and 21st centuries. Intercultural dialogue is enhanced through the involvement of artists and curators who accompany the exhibitions.

Exhibitions in Germany
The ifa Galleries in Stuttgart and Berlin organise exhibitions of contemporary art, architecture and design from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The programme aims to promote intercultural dialogue within Germany – a lively, contemporary, genuine exchange between cultures.

Biennalen
The ifa takes on the administrative management of German contributions to the selected Biennials  and provides financial support for the participation of artists living in Germany at biennials all over the world. A database is listing all biennial festivals worldwide.
