Purpose/Activities

The German Archaeological Institute (DAI) is an archeological research institution, that carries out archaeological excavations, expeditions and other archeology related projects in Germany and abroad. Research results are published in numerous books (currently over 60 titles per year).

  • is in touch with international scientific organisations and institutions
  •  supports young archaeologists
