Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes

Purpose/Activities

The Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes, a European non-governmental organisation, has the mission to promote the emergence and the mobility of young artists on a world scale. It bases its development on strong human values, ambitious programmes and a wide network of partners in 26 countries.

The values of the Pépinières are

  • artistic creation, universal vehicle for human interaction and innovation
  • emerging artists, a living force inventing tomorrow's forms of expression
  • Europe, a vast territory of expression and exchange

Its actions are

  • to promote the mobility of artists from different cultures and horizons within Europe
  • to reveal the talent of young creators
  • to accompany the artists on their professional path at European and international levels
  • to develop a strategy of enlargement, targeting new member states of the European Union
  • to update the concept of artistic residency

Its actions are

  • mobility programmes enabling emerging artists to develop projects, in another country, in keeping with the developments of artistic movements
  • events developed within the context of the various partnerships: artistic programmes, organisation of events, publications and training.

In a selection procedure the artists are selected on the basis of their artistic process and a particular project, by the representatives of the creative sites and a jury of international and independent experts.
