IFA 2016

Laureate: "Frenzy" by Emin Alper

"Frenzy" depicts a society of mistrust, arbitrariness and social marginalisation in a state of surveillance. It is a night blue, surreal study on violence, a bad premonition of the year 2015, which has now become a reality. Emin Alper's predictive film reminds us that we shouldn't leave the victims of the State paranoia alone." (extract of the jury statement)
